How to Track Known, Single Blind, and Double Blind Exercises
Single blind and double blind training exercises play a critical role in developing reliable, independent, and operationally ready K9 teams. These scenarios mirror real world deployments, where no one may know if an odor is present or where it may be concealed.
By incorporating and clearly documenting known, single blind, and double blind exercises into your trainings, you not only strengthen performance, but also reinforce credibility and defensibility if ever you are questioned in court. Keeping accurate records of these training types demonstrate a consistent commitment to high standards and real world readiness.
How to Add Detection Types to a Training Log
To add a detection type to training exercises, first make sure that you have the "Display Detection Type (Single & Double Blind)" option turned on for that exercise type.

Note: Only users with admin permissions can turn this feature on in the site settings.
Once turned on, you will have the ability to document whether that exercise was known, single blind, or double blind in your training log.
