How To Add New Evidence Items To Your Deployment Logs
Whether your K9 finds illegal substances, articles, or other items during a deployment, tracking the evidence is important for accurate record keeping. Dogteampro makes it easy to add new evidence items so your records always reflect what happened in the field.
Note: This feature is found in your agency settings, and only administrators can make changes.
Adding a New Evidence Item
Follow these steps to add a new evidence item to your deployment logs:
- Click on your user icon in the top right corner and select Settings.
- In the left-hand menu, find and open the Deployment Options dropdown.
- Click on Evidence Items.
- In the top right corner of the evidence items table, click Create.
- Enter the evidence name, units, and select a K9 type if needed.
Note: If you leave the K9 type field empty, the evidence item will be available for all K9 teams. Adding a specific K9 type will filter the item for only those K9s with that specialty.
- Click Save and your new evidence item is now ready for use.
Editing or Deleting an Evidence Item
To make changes to an existing evidence item or delete it, follow these steps:
- Click on your user icon and select Settings.
- Find and hover over the evidence item you want to edit and click the Edit option.
- You can update the name, units, or K9 type, or click Delete to remove the item entirely.
- Click Save and your changes will be applied to your deployment logs.
